FASHION, FUN AND PURPOSE WITH THE FIRST LADIES — AND SIMPLY EXTRAORDINARY LADIES AT THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY – 77TH SESSION (UNGA77)

Reuniting with old friends and connecting with new ones are always fun and rewarding! A week ago during the #UNGA was one of those extraordinary gatherings where fashion, the collective will to do good and give back, fun and just overall positive vibes converged — and to be in the company of such beautiful hearts and souls was a sheer joy. Congratulations to our dearest friend, the tireless and ever generous Evie Evangelou Founder and CEO of Fashion 4 Development for hosting the 10th Anniversary of the First Ladies Luncheon, held annually at the margins of the #UNGA in New York City. Prior to this momentous luncheon and fashion show was a night of banquet, gala and awards dedicated to #SustainableFashion. Always been proud of you and that BIG heart of yours Evie Evangelou!

Thrilled to be reunited with Chiara Tilesi Founder and CEO of WE DO IT TOGETHER where I serve as a Member of the Board of Advisors. It is the only nonprofit of its kind in #Hollywood committed to changing the gender landscape and equality in the film industry by using the power of cinema and media to alter deep-seated perceptions and stereotypes about women. Joyful, as always, to spend very special moments with the ever-generous and gracious Judy Kuriansky, my mentor, soul friend and confidante since I started my United Nations years over a decade ago; and not to forget my dearest friend Chantal Line Carpentier, Chief of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Office of the UN Secretary General New York, whose joyful and generous heart is a constant inspiration — always happy to see you!

Grateful and honored to have connected with new friends from all over the world, working in different spheres but sharing the same collective passion and bound by the same commitment to help make this world a better place — Jen Bawden Marcel Gasser aka business buddha Dr. Constantin Malik HE #FabiolaYanez, First Lady of Argentina, Christina Marschik of Austria, the legendary Grammy, Golden Globe and other awards winner songwriter #DianeWarren and so many others who have made these back to back gatherings truly special, meaningful and rewarding. Naila Chowdhury we missed you!
